I was asked that question yesterday, by someone who doesn’t understand my need to write, and I have been pondering the question ever since. Why here, why now?
Well, why not?
Here I get to organize my thoughts, figure out what’s bugging me or what I’m joyous about, or write about something that amuses me. I’m at the age that I can put into writing the events of my childhood and embellish them as my memory serves me. Sometimes life was harder, and sometimes easier than I remember, and I can gain clarity. Sometimes I just feel the need to share a recipe or story, not knowing if someone out there in this huge world wants to know or even cares about how to bake the perfect no-sugar peanut butter cookie or that I grew up with monkeys.
I guess the point is, I will continue to blog about such things until I’m no longer able, and if this platform goes under, I’ll find another way to express myself. I HAVE to do it, even if it’s simply to get it out of my head so I can carry on with my day. It’s inside me, wanting to go forth into the world. It isn’t for money or recognition, or accolades. It’s simply who I am.
So why do you blog?
Exactly that, to express myself.

Thank you! Ever feel that if you don’t write, you’ll lose a part of you? I’m there sometimes.

Oh yes, that’s why I write everyday. Many that I don’t share too 😁
