Waiting On The Brew

Ever patiently wait for the coffee maker to finish brewing before grabbing that first cup? Nah, me either.

I try, honestly I do.

I have a morning routine that I take care of after I turn it on, but most times, I’m stealing the first cup. Thankfully, my coffee maker has the cut-off feature that allows the pot to be removed while the coffee is still brewing. Yes, it also has a timer but since my days are flexible, I don’t always get up as early, or sometimes I’m up earlier than I’ve programmed it for. So there’s that, me waiting, or simply grabbing that first cup. And now, here I am, pondering life and planning out my day while I sip.

Today’s agenda has changed. I was going to take the newest addition to our family out and about to the car show today but Mother Nature had other ideas, so I’ll spend part of my day drying off my dog after he goes out and does his doggy duties. Not the day I had planned, but there’s always something to do around here, from trying new recipes to researching the items I have sourced for my online selling platform. I’ll save that topic for another time since I suck at it sometimes. Thankfully this time it turned out well and something I started an auction bid at $15, sold for almost $450. Whew!

Out to finish my first cup and to check in on the members of my family and friends who are also up at this hour. A God day to you!
