I like the concept of minimalism; do you hear the “…but…” coming?

I purchase items from various sources (yard, estate, moving, and garage sales) to sell on several different platforms, so a minimalist lifestyle would not work for me. I guess the happy medium would be to downsize the rest of my house, but the truth is, if I went minimalist, I would lose income. This shopping ‘hobby’ of mine supplements my senior income and keeps really interesting items out of the landfills, and my most recent foray is stacked in my family room, waiting for me to organize and get it online. We’re talking electronics, old gaming systems, cameras, watches, designer clothing and handbags, costume jewelry (about fifty POUNDS of it), and quite a few Breyer horses. The only thing I am keeping from all of this is the KitchenAid mixer and all its attachments that I found. I’ve been looking for one of those for a while now, SCORE!

Once in a while I’ll find something that I will foster, but eventually it goes online to be sold, so I guess I try for minimalism, but think I fail (gleefully) at it.
