I was prepared and psyched for it, but at the last minute, the doc’s office called and rescheduled my ‘urgent’ open heart surgery.
So all this time I believed I had such a huge problem with my heart that if I didn’t have surgery, death would be imminent. But when the heart surgeon’s office rescheduled my surgery, it said a lot. Mainly that first, I’m not as bad off as I thought, and second, there are a lot of people worse off than I am.
It’s not been rescheduled until next week, so I’ve got a few more days of wiggle room to work on some projects I had taken off the stove altogether because of the upcoming medical drama.
I’ve been posting short stories to my blog under “Projects and Completed Pieces,” so today I’ll put another – I’ve found a whole file folder on my computer of ones I’ve started over the years. Odd that I’ve not completed any of them…
Out for now to continue living life…
