My coffee tastes like appreciation. Ever notice that? When someone else prepares it, it always seems to taste better than if you’d done it yourself. Not sure what they do that’s different, but there it is, in that steamy, wake-up brew every morning that Hubbin has put together the night before.
This morning’s coffee is brought to me by me, mostly because I’m stuck here and doing next to nothing before my surgery, which is scheduled for tomorrow morning. I’ve got cabin fever SO BAD that I’m irritable, so I’m trying to maintain a low, out-of-sight, profile. You know they say you can’t take back words said in anger; it seems the same holds true for irritation too. This morn’s blog is about some randomness since my brain has moved my surgery to a front burner, even though I keep trying to push it back into a less conspicuous spot on the stove.
Ha, who am I trying to kid? It’s all about what’s going to happen tomorrow morning, so today is about cleaning my house so I don’t come home to a messy one, packing and repacking a suitcase I’m not going to use, enjoying my last bit of coffee, and getting my dog ready to go to be boarded. Preparing my spot in the house upon my return, and listing contact phone numbers for Hubbin to text once I’m out from surgery. Ugh, I’ve created so much busy-work for me this morning!
*sigh*
I might as well get on it, these things are not going to do themselves.
See ya on the other side!
