I’ve seen a lot of docs lately.
Some were routine, some were annual sorts of appointments, some were for specialists, but today’s was to a dentist for a six-month cleaning.
The problem is, my dizziness keeps me from driving, so my daughter took me to my appointment and escorted me into the room. She sat there until they finished with me and as we were leaving, commented, “This is the first time I’ve ever been with you at one of your appointments.”
I thought for a moment and said, “Not true. You went with me over forty-five years ago. To a pre-natal appointment.”
We both smiled and she nodded as she walked me home.
