Writing About Writing – Again…

I write the way I speak, so it’s no surprise to me that I can reread something I’ve written years ago and say, “Oh, that’s good!”

What came as a surprise to me was that not everybody thought so.

Yes, I was that naive, and perhaps I still am.

WordPress dynamics sends me ‘Blast From the Past’ moments, which are blogs of mine from ‘On-This-Date’ in previous years, and as I read these blog rewinds, I wonder if I should repost them simply because I liked what I had written back then. There’s nothing truly profound about what I’ve written, but in the back of my mind I’m still that naive little writer that cries, “Oh, That’s good!”

I will continue to write the way I speak, and perhaps one day others will have those moments of inspiration from what I’ve written and say to themselves, “I can do that!” I also wonder if this could apply to any other interests – my artwork, my cooking, my (lack of) gardening ability, or any other interests I have that I’m sharing with the world.

Only then will I get to see what they have created and have a moment where I can say, “Oh, that’s good!”

So GO FOR IT, world! Show me your talent!
