I once had a friend put in an extra electrical outlet in my son’s room by adding it to existing wiring. The new outlet would service anything electrical on his desk – think laptop, pencil sharpener, phone charger, etc.
Well, soon after, I was cleaning my bedroom about the time he started his homework and my bathroom light came on. I started to head into the bathroom, thinking perhaps there was a faulty lightbulb that might need changing, but it turned off, almost immediately.
“Weird,” I said to myself then went back continued on to whatever chore I was doing at the time.
The bathroom light came on again a few minutes later, then turned off as quickly. I got the shivers, and headed back into the bathroom. The light switch was in the “Off” position.
I stood there a second, trying to be brave, trying to not freak out, hoping I wouldn’t see some kind of spirit in the bathroom mirror. That’s when I heard it.
The pencil sharpener in my son’s room.
As he was doing his math homework, he sharpened his pencil multiple times, and each time he did, my bathroom light came on. The wires had been crossed somehow when the outlet had been put in.
I called someone in the know who came and fixed the wiring issue and my ‘ghost’ was gone for good.
