I’ve written before that I have numerous clocks throughout my home.
Some are digital, some are *gasp* analog, and some are sync’d to online applications, but most have to be reprogrammed from time to time due to power issues in my town, or simply because they, like me, are slowing down the older they get.
So having said that, there are four clocks between where I sleep and the coffee maker and each reflects a different time, even with continued efforts to make them reflect the same information. So when I get up each morning, I lose time within the twenty-five or so steps it takes me to start my coffee maker and my day.
But then, as I return to get my day started while my coffee brews, I gain back those moments, so it’s a win for me each day.
Perhaps I’ll try to get them sync’d again today, but thinking about the few minutes I’ve ‘gotten back’, perhaps I won’t.
Sometimes all it takes is a few minutes to gain time and perspective.
*And now I’ve got a “Cher” song stuck in my head*
