I’ve mentioned before that I’m homebound for a bit, until we (Hubbin, me, and the various docs I’m seeing) figure out what’s causing my severe vertigo and how to fix it.
Having said that, I have brief moments when it’s not so bad, and instead of using those moments of respite to enjoy the normalcy, I try to cram in as many tasks that I am able to. Think laundry, bathrooms, vacuuming, and lately, painting the cabinets that will be part of my dining room remodel. Yeah, I’m that kind of person.
Yesterday’s ‘normal’ included pressure canning some turkey and turkey broth from one I cooked the day before. This was a task I completed just as the next wave hit me with a vengeance, so this morning I have several jars of cooked turkey for soup, as well as several jars of turkey broth ready for my upcoming Fall meals (a ‘thank you’ to my Hubbin for helping me the assistance!).
Yay for the small accomplishments, but as I read over what I’ve written this morning, I’m wondering if I am over-exerting when I have these brief ‘normal, drama-free’ moments? Hubbin thinks so, but it’s difficult for me to not do anything when I’m feeling like myself again.
Is there a happy medium on the way to recovery, one that won’t take me two steps forward and three steps back?
