This morning’s coffee brings thoughts of quitting. It seems that when life happens as life does, things that seemed so important at the time have to be put on hold to deal with that moment when life stood up and said, “Slow Down!”
So what does that mean to me this morning. No, not a question. It means that because of the injuries I sustained on Monday, this week I won’t be throwing my arms around in any form of exercise. I won’t be canning or heavy lifting or working on the steps to building any of my project pieces. Some of my home cleaning will have to be delegated to another person (Hubbin), or it simply will not get done this week. I will be quitting any task that will require extensive use of my right hand, which sustained the majority of my injuries.
I overused my hand yesterday and I am paying dearly this morning, so ‘quitting’ is the word of the day (and week) for me. Well, knowing me, my frame of mind change and later I will want to edit this post and change the word ‘quit’ to ‘postpone’.
*sigh*
This morning I am thankful I am left-handed and right now I’ll be heading to the coffee maker as I reflect on the agenda I’ve just quit.
Make it a great, down day!
