Helping To Fill A Need – Volunteering

This morning’s thoughts are brought to you by the ever-present, first cup of coffee, so blame that if you have the need.

I don’t always have an extra dime when it comes to helping fill someone’s need, nor do I have unlimited time or energy, but once in a while I am called to help out. It seems that when those quiet opportunities arise, so do the funds or schedule/agenda changes, and I’m suddenly freed up to lend a hand or donate a dollar. Here’s the thing though, I’m deciphering whether this is “Spirit” driven, or procrastination in disguise. If I have to neglect an important task or put off paying a necessary bill, then I question my motives. If I find peace in my decision, then I know which one it is.
