Selective Memory Loss

There have been numerous times in my life that I have chosen to forget. I have chosen to forget phone numbers, log-in’s, names, tasks, and unjustices.

Today I get to use ‘getting old’ as the excuse, but it serves me well these days, though there are times when I have to take notes so that I don’t forget when going from one room to the next (like adding to my shopping list), or if I’ve made a promise that I want to keep, you know, the things that matter.

I’m adding ‘selective memory loss’ to my ‘selective hearing’ loss’, but they are not the same thing, as most who know me will attest.

Anyway, this was my thought for the day as I process the agenda I’ve set for myself.
