Goals – What to Do When You Reach Them?

This morning’s thoughts are about goals.

I am close to attaining a life-long objective this morning, and now I’m finding that I want to move my target.

Ever do that?

My journey has been towards weight loss, and now I’m ten pounds away from my life-long goal.

Do I move the finish line or do I consider a new goal? Do I change gears and look specifically at maintaining the status, or set new goals that encompasses the new “Me”? Can I finally relax my guard and have the occasional food that has not been a part of my plan for almost a year (i.e., lifetime)?

Thankfully coffee has been on my list of acceptable beverages during this journey, so this morning’s meandering has me headed back to the coffee maker for another cup, as I ponder my next steps or further action.
