I have been working a program for over six months now and am doing very well with the one I’ve chosen. I’ll find out just how well it is by the upcoming lab work, but I’ve gone down almost five sizes so far.
Having said that, I’ve been in accounting for most of my adult life and when I started my program, I applied those budgeting skills to my health program.
For example:
I budgeted myself 1,000 calories and thirty carbs a day, no matter how much or little I get a return on from the exercising I incorporated into my program.
That’s all I get, but each morning I get the same allotment, so if there is something I want to fix, or a snack I’m craving, it has to be within that day’s “budget.” I have also set a tentative goal date for accomplishing this, so anytime someone offers me something that is not within budget, I can tell them that it is off the table until my goal date. I’m sure by then they will have forgotten, and I’m sure I will have too. *grin*
Well, I’m out to do the exercise part of my program, but as always, I’ll be back.
