GW Thrift Shopping Nonsense

Yesterday I stopped by the GW (the Goodwill Thrift Store, for those who don’t know my acronyms). I found some nice things for my home: two small cutting boards, two boxes of face masks (unopened, new-in-box), and a storage container to put dried beans in. I also found a few things that I will clean up and get listed on my eBay site today: some boots and shoes and a cast iron baking dish. But I put back two things that I’m in need of and today I’m going back for them – two new-in-package queen bed sheet sets that were both pretty and just what I was needing. I put them back because the GW was selling them for almost the same price as what I could get them for from a store. What was I thinking??? Almost the same price. I would have saved about five dollars on these sheet sets, but I didn’t get them because the GW didn’t give me a better price. The key words here are “I would have saved about five dollars!” Last night, after the store had closed of course, I thought about my actions and why I had put them back. Was it pride or stubbornness that kept me from that purchase?

I’m hoping they are still there today when I go back, but if they aren’t, well, it’s my own fault.
