Technology – Friend or Foe?

I went to a grocery store self-checkout register for groceries.

When I sighed (rather loudly, I’m afraid) about having to do this myself, a wonderful store clerk came to my assistance. She scanned everything after I had told her that 99.9% of the time self-checkout does not work for me, and that I’d need assistance from a store clerk. After scanning and totaling my groceries, the computer decided it didn’t like my payment method (a gift card). She had to cancel my transaction on the self-check register and moved my stuff and me to a register that a clerk could log onto. I simply laughed; it proved my point. definitely “Foe”.

This brings me to my second desire for some new technology – installing an extended, wide monitor for my laptop, instead of running dual monitors.

Hubbin is my tech support – he got me hooked up in no time and now I have everything at my fingertips on one screen.

So my opinion stands about self-checkout being the bane of my existence, and monitor technology is definitely a friend of mine (whups, hearing the “Jose Cuervo” song playing on repeat in my head).

Now to address the flickering lightbulb in my office ceiling light.

“Ooooh Hubby…”
