This morning’s randomness in my head comes from the randomness that has appeared on my desk after the thorough cleaning I gave it last week.
There seems to be no logic to the variety – a box of pocket hand warmers, a book about macrame knots, an arrow shaped ring, a whole BOX of flash drives that don’t belong to me or this house, a Green Bay Packers flag, some Mary Kay cosmetics, two expired lottery tickets, a ChapStick (mine), some ear buds, a pellet pew-pew, some tree limb slices, some receipts and business cards (also mine), postage stamps, four cigar boxes, and of course my coffee cup (almost empty), and my Bible. There are other things in small quantities: clear storage bags, power cords, a tape measure, and a remote control to my office television, two phone holders, a spray bottle of water, and a box of Kleenex (that one inspired a short story). My category here should be “Coffee and Clutter”, not “Coffee and Confetti”!
Look, my desk is not that large, so this randomness has me wanting to find a box to slide it all off into, but instead, this morning I’ll find places for all of it so I can reclaim my space once again.
Ugh. I know it’s a necessary evil, but I see it as mundaneness in the middle of wanting to create today.
*Sigh*
