Covered in Paint Again, AKA, Painting the Hall

You will know by sight at any given moment, what color I am painting the rooms of my house by the colors I cannot seem to get off my hands. Or out of my hair. Or spots I didn’t know I had paint on.

Like today, it was my right ear. Yeah.

Well, it turns out that it truly is “Like Mother, Like Daughter.”

My daughter came over to assist with painting the final rooms of my home today so I can FINALLY put away all the paint supplies.

We were both on ladders, doing our best to keep it on the wall and off ourselves, when she went to lean back to check her work. She went too far to the left and leaned her face towards the opposite corner of the wall she was working on and planted the whole left side of her face into the wet paint she had just put down. I saw it in slow-mo; the expression on her face said it all. I was up on my ladder and almost had my own accident from laughing so hard!

Do you know how insincere you sound when you are trying to apologize for laughing while laughing? I could not even look at her for fear the gales would take over again!

Even now I’m smiling – my little grandson commented, “Mom, you look like a skeleton!”

Quite the imagination, that one, but it set me off again!

Oh, and by the way, my daughter is sporting paint in her ear tonight as well.
