What?!? A Down Day?!? J.K.!

Ah, no such thing as that for me, I’m afraid.

I reviewed my calendar for the day this morning, and it turns out that I don’t have appointments, my kids are in their happy places and are not requesting or requiring my attendance, and of course, there is no money for shopping (grinning at that last part).

Having said that, there is the ever-present list of items that are on the back burner of my brain – painting the family room and hallway walls, organizing (translate, “Finding”) stories on my flash drives and computer, and the also ever-present mound of paper on my desk to sort, log, file, or toss.

Some things will never change, never go away, so today’s “Down Day” will be to grab a couple of those simmering pots and move them to the front of the stove.

Will the house ever be completed?

Will the paperwork ever really be done?

And will I ever finish one of the many stories I’m working on?

*Out, heading to the coffee pot and then the short commute back down the hall to my office to give a nod to that last item*
