Choosing the Storyline

I guess it’s going to take the flip of a coin or two. I’ve chosen today as a “writing” day, and now that I am at the place where I create the best, hot tea in hand, I’m trying to decide which of the storylines I want to work on. As I mull over each’s merits, the clock ticks closer to the end time that I’ve set for myself for today, and I’m no closer to actually putting fingers to keyboard. Well, at least not with my stories, since I’m lamenting about that in this forum.

As I debate each and where I want to take the characters, I get easily distracted by what I’m going to do with them once they are complete. Heck, I’m not there yet with any of them, though a couple are about 90% ready for an ending. I’ve got short stories galore and yes, ideas are popping into my head to add to the drama, and that’s were the handy-dandy tablet next to me comes into the picture. I jot down those ideas with a bit of detail, then move on to the task at hand, to come here and finish what I’ve started.

Having said all that, I’m out for now to get some lucrative writing down, before my brain checks out and convinces the rest of me to go outside and enjoy the sunshine.
