Creativity vs. Execution

No, this is not a Halloween decorating blog tonight, though hmm, it could be…*idea*

I am inspired into creativity by so many people as well as my surroundings, and the Lord knows I love to dabble! I have done woodworking projects, made candles, knotted a macrame wall art piece from the oak tree that came from our yard the year they took it down. I have lots of ideas and a whole photo folder on my phone for inspiration.

Having said that, sometimes (most times?) I get hung up on the execution and so the pictures just sit there, waiting for me to ‘fake it or make it’. I don’t have a target audience, I just simply like creating things. Perhaps I should have a trunk show at one of the craft fairs someday, but this year is not the year for that.

So tonight, I’ll ponder my latest idea, a sun catcher from an old picture frame I found and if time permits, tomorrow I might go out to my scrap pile and get some chicken wire for it.

“IF” and I strongly emphasize the word, I get it done, I’ll post pictures. And I might just sell it once it’s done, who knows?
