Needing A Quiet Place for A Creative Space

I’ve been setting aside time to write (and experiment with watercolor paints) and this week I found if I do either of them at home, I’m easily distracted. I’ll be trying to get the wording (or color) just right, and I’ll hear the beeping of the dryer, water running when there shouldn’t be, or encounter something as simple as having to answer one of Hubbin’s questions. And then of course, there are multiple projects around the house that are staring me in the face; the ones that I’ve set aside in order to create, so creating at home is not as easy as one would think. I went to the library yesterday and put the finishing touches on one of my short stories. I’m happy with how it has turned out – I think I’m ready to print and save now.

Having said all this, I hope to devise an area in my house that will promote creativity.
