I was about to write about something totally different just now, when I heard my husband exclaim, “It just squirted water all over me!”
There is no “Uh Oh,” from me, no racing to the kitchen at the other end of the house, to find out what happened. He is in the kitchen, talking on the phone with a refrigerator service tech about our refrigerator’s water dispenser, which quit about 6 o’clock last night. At the time, we weren’t sure if it was the tip of a “dying-refrigerator” iceberg. We had spent the evening troubleshooting it – changing out the filters, checking the water lines, watching fix-it videos, and ultimately realizing we’d have to contact someone a bit more up on repairing refrigerators than we were. All I could think about at that time was the cost of repair, which if my other repairs could be used as estimates for technicians and a service call, was going to start at $200. So, to have it magically start working again is a ($200 minimum) lifesaver!
Today I’m giving thanks for the abatement of yet another expense, since we are overloaded and tapped out on our budget right now.
Hallelujah! *Doing the happy dance*
