Building When I Don’t Have the Skill or Funds

I need shelving.

The problem is, the house does not have enough area to cover my need, so some creativeness is warranted. Creativeness? I’ve got that. What I don’t possess is the knowledge to carry out such a build to add storage, nor the funding for such a venture right now, so I have to make do with what I’ve got on hand..

This morning over my ever-present morning coffee, I processed my options. I have a couple bi-fold doors that we took down that have been living in my garage, so after church today, I cleared out the corner of my dining room that might serve as the perfect place, and propped up those particular doors to serve as shelving. And it turns out, my space is either twelve inches too long, or if I move out our little drink refrigerator from the dining room, the space will be eighteen inches too short.

So back to the drawing board. Perhaps I need another cup of coffee.
