Hot Weather, Yard Work, & Christmas Music

Well, we put it off and put it off (and put it off), because of the heat Duncan has been experiencing, until today we realized our grass was taller than our sprinklers, so I geared up to do my part of the yard work in our weeks-long hundred-degree weather. This entailed putting on my sun hat, sunscreen, an N95 mask (because of grass allergies, dontcha know), socks and shoes (which I seldom wear), and of course some music to make it go faster.

Did I mention that I finally found my Apple iPod Nano? I’ve been looking for it about three years now, but it surfaced about a week ago, so today in my gearing up process, on went the headphones and the music I have on my Nano, shuffling the tunes to provide variety.

Here’s the funny part. I was doing yard work – trimming, weeding, and leaf blowing, all in almost 100-degree weather, all the while listening to Christmas music! Yeah, that’s how I roll! Getting it done, jingling all the way!
