The Power of Prayer

I’m wanting to write about the Power of Prayer today.

There have been so many times throughout my life that my prayers have been answered, and though there are some that believe that I should not bug God with anything but the biggies, I want to say that I pray to Him for everything I need, want, or desire, or simply to feel His presence at any given moment.

There are days when I don’t feel I’ve prayed enough, and there are some days where I felt I should have been spending the day on my knees, asking for grace and giving Him the glory for all in my life. Today’s reflection stems from a recent need for answered prayer, which of course, He came through, at a moment when I felt I was at the very end of the thread that held me together.

I don’t always get what I want – only He knows the bigger picture, but the answer will always be “No” if one doesn’t ask, right? And “No” can mean, “Not Now” or “Not At This Time.”

But having said that, God takes care of me, even when I get so busy with my day that I forget to say, “Hello” or “Good Morning, Lord,” or to give thanks for the gifts He has given and continues to give me.

I’ve said it many times and will say it again, “I am blessed.”

Thank you, Jesus, my God, my Savior.
