It’s Tuesday. No, It’s Thursday…

Somewhere in this week I lost a couple days. Looking back, I did not believe I’d been that busy but thinking about it, *sigh* yes, I have been. Easy to lose track of the days, I think, when I’ve got nowhere to be on any given day. A lot of busy work doesn’t make it easy either.

Today’s agenda covered deliveries of the donations I’d scheduled earlier this week (was it Tuesday???), so I checked that off the list and I watered the yard; a needful task with our 100+ degree weather! The reports are saying that the triplets are going to continue into the next week, so my grass and plants are thankful I’m on top of this. One of the tips I have given myself is to mark the days on the calendar when it rains or when I water, so that when my Tuesdays suddenly turn into Thursdays, I haven’t killed my lawn.

I also got my bicycle down from the hook in the garage so I can get it road-ready for riding when the weather cools a bit. I like bicycling. It gives me a certain carefree, freedom when I’m riding, a feeling that doesn’t come from a vehicle with four wheels, and I have time to reflect as the blocks turn into miles. Sunscreen will be my friend during such moments, as will a water bottle. What do I think about when I’m riding? Anything, everything. Sometimes I come up with ideas for stories – if you see me traipsing down the highway with a small recording device in my hand, I’m not putting together a Tik-Tok, I’m getting my ideas from my head to a place I can get to later, because, I can guarantee you, I’ll forget the idea as soon as I turn the next corner. This is my life. So many ideas, so many Tuesdays.

No, I mean Thursdays.
